Experience:

  • Advised one of the largest banks in the Baltic States Balti Investeeringute Grupi Pank AS (BIG BANK), which specialises in the area of consumer credits, in its disputes with the Competition Council regarding use of misleading advertising and regarding registration of the trademark BIGBANK, the fastest way to money (2008-2009);
  • Advised the largest company providing security services in Lithuania UAB G4S Lietuva (formerly UAB Falk Security), which is a company of the international group G4S, in defending the client’s interests before the Vilnius Regional Administrative Court in a case regarding conformity of the provisions of the orders of the Police Commissioner General of Lithuania, whereby police institutions are granted the right to provide commercial services in ensuring security of property of natural and legal persons on the basis of contracts, to the requirements of Article 4 of the Law on Competition (2008 -2009);
  • Advised a client in a civil case against a natural person regarding non-property damage arising out of an injury which occurred during an event organised by the client (2008);
  • Advised an Estonian company regarding a potential arbitration procedure against two Lithuanian companies in connection with a share purchase agreement and a guarantee agreement and repayment of a part of the amount paid for the shares, as well as interest (2009);
  • Advised UAB KELDA in a dispute regarding inappropriate interpretation and evaluation of the conditions of a public procurement competition by the public procurement commission of the Elektrėnai municipal administration (2009);
  • Advised a Lithuanian company on appealing against and cancellation of a decision of the Chairman of the Vilnius Court of Commercial Arbitration to terminate arbitration procedures after the commencement of formation of the arbitration tribunal (2009);
  • Advises a major pay TV operator Viasat AS in the investigation by the Competition Council regarding abuse by Viasat AS of its dominant position (2009);
  • Advises Viasat AS in the dispute with the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority and individual disputes with consumers regarding modification of typical conditions of a Viasat contract (2009);
  • Advises the former head of UAB Žaibo Ratas Vilnius and the former head of UAB Žaibo Ratas in the dispute with the shareholder of this company regarding indemnification for damage caused by unfair competition actions to BUAB Žaibo Ratas (2009);
  • Advises UAB TEFIRE in the dispute with the former head of the company and other former employees of the company, as well as a rival company founded by them regarding invalidation of a long-term contractor’s contract due to wilful agreement of a representative of one party with the other party and application of restitution (2009).
